IGF-1 LR3 dosage calculator

Work out IGF-1 LR3 concentration, draw volume and U-100 syringe units. It starts on a 1 mg vial with 1.5 mL of water and 35 mcg - which is 5.5 units - as an example; change any number.

Your vial

Printed on the vial. There is no standard size - enter what yours says.

This changes how much you draw - never how many doses the vial holds.

100 units per mL. 1 unit = 0.01 mL. This is what almost every insulin syringe sold is, in every barrel size.

Barrel size

Capacity only. A 1 mL U-100 syringe holds 100 units - the scale decides that, not the barrel.

IGF-1 LR3 dosing

Common questions

What size vials does IGF-1 LR3 come in?

IGF-1 LR3 is sold in 1 mg vials - each size listed by at least one vendor or label page I checked (see the vial pages linked below). This calculator starts on the 1 mg vial as an example; enter any size.

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 1 mg IGF-1 LR3 vial?

There is no single correct amount: water changes how many units a dose is, not how many doses the vial holds. 1.5 mL makes 0.67 mg/mL; 3 mL makes 0.33 mg/mL; 5 mL makes 0.2 mg/mL. With 1.5 mL, 35 mcg is 5.5 units (0.055 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe.

How many units is 35 mcg of IGF-1 LR3?

It depends on the vial size and the water added. In a 1 mg vial mixed with 1.5 mL, 35 mcg is 5.5 units (0.055 mL) on a U-100 syringe (100 units = 1 mL).

How many doses are in a IGF-1 LR3 vial?

A 1 mg vial holds 28 doses of 35 mcg. Adding more water does not change this.

What is the common IGF-1 LR3 dose?

The common protocol is 20-50 mcg, once daily, for 1.5-6 weeks - common practice described by clinic and vendor dosing guides, not a dose established in trials.

Is IGF-1 LR3 legal and approved?

US status: Research use only. Not FDA-approved for any indication in the US; no IGF-1 LR3, "Long R3 IGF-1" or equivalent product is listed on DailyMed (checked 2026-09-24). IGF-1 LR3 is a distinct molecule from mecasermin (brand name Increlex), the only FDA-approved recombinant human IGF-1 product - see the "Not mecasermin" section on the reader-facing page. Exogenous IGF-1 and its analogues, which IGF-1 LR3 is reported to be, fall under the World Anti-Doping Agency S2 category (peptide hormones, growth factors and related substances), prohibited at all times; a tested athlete should check the current WADA Prohibited List directly.
