CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin Dosage: The Blend, Protocol and Calculator
CJC-1295 and ipamorelin dosage: the common blended-vial protocol from real sources, reconstitution math, why the two are paired, side effects and legal status.
The short version
CJC-1295 (no-DAC) and ipamorelin are the most commonly paired research peptides, often sold in one blended vial - frequently 5 mg of each, 10 mg total. Clinic and vendor dosing guides most often describe 100-300 mcg of each per injection, once daily, 5 days on and 2 off, for 8-12 weeks. That is common practice, not a protocol any trial has tested as a combination. No published human study has given the two together; each has separate, smaller human trial data alone.
- The common blend protocol is 100-300 mcg of each peptide, once daily, 5 days on/2 off, 8-12 week cycles - not trial-tested as a pairing.
- The typical product is a single 10 mg vial: 5 mg CJC-1295 (no-DAC) plus 5 mg ipamorelin.
- No published human trial has tested the two peptides given together; each has separate, smaller trial data alone.
- Reconstitution and injection-volume math belongs on a calculator, not a guess.
CJC-1295 (no-DAC) and ipamorelin are the two research peptides most often sold and dosed as a pair, usually from one blended vial. Neither has an approved dose, because neither has an approved product. No published human trial has tested the two given together.
This page covers what dosing sources describe for the blend, the reconstitution arithmetic, why the pairing is used, and what remains untested. For each compound on its own, see the CJC-1295 guide and the ipamorelin guide.
US legal status - Research use only
Neither CJC-1295 nor ipamorelin has an FDA-approved product. Both are sold as research chemicals, not legally marketed for human use.
AU legal status - Not on the ARTG
Both are Schedule 4 of the Poisons Standard and named under Appendix D - prescription only, and neither is on the ARTG.
Regulators reach their own conclusions on their own timelines. Where these two disagree, the difference is the point - not an error.
CJC-1295 and ipamorelin dosage: the common protocol
Clinic and vendor dosing guides most often describe 100-300 mcg of each peptide per injection, given together, subcutaneously. The schedule is once daily, five days a week with two days off, for an 8-12 week cycle with a break after. That is common practice, not a dose any trial has tested as this combination.

A named clinic network (Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center) describes pairing ipamorelin with CJC-1295 (no-DAC) in one bedtime injection, 5 nights a week, starting at 100 mcg and titrating to 200-300 mcg; a vendor guide describes the same dose range used up to three times daily rather than once. Both agree on dose (100-300 mcg), 8-12 week cycles and a roughly 4-week break; they differ materially on how often per week, so that range is kept wide and flagged as varying.

Two dosing sources show the range:
- Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center: starts at 100 mcg of each peptide per dose and titrates up to 200-300 mcg of each, once daily at bedtime on an empty stomach. This is the same source already recorded for ipamorelin’s own protocol above. It says this combination has not been tested in a published human randomized controlled trial.
- PerfectB: a blended vial on a slower titration. It starts near 0.3 mg combined in week one and reaches about 1 mg combined by month two. Dosing is five days on and two off, in monthly cycles of up to three runs before a longer break. It says its numbers come from clinical experience, not a controlled trial with a comparison group.
See both sources directly: Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center’s guide and PerfectB’s guide.
The two sources agree on the broad shape: daily subcutaneous dosing, empty-stomach or bedtime timing, and cycles measured in months with a break after. They disagree on the exact titration curve, which is why the common-protocol figures above are a range rather than one number.
Why CJC-1295 and ipamorelin are paired
The two compounds act on different receptors that end in the same pituitary response. CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) and acts on the pituitary’s GHRH receptor. Ipamorelin acts on the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), the pathway Raun 1998 - Raun K, Hansen BS, Johansen NL et al. Ipamorelin, the first selective growth hormone secretagogue. Eur J Endocrinol. 1998;139(5):552-61., in the references below identified it working through in animal and in vitro research.
Sources describing the blend say pairing a GHRH-receptor analogue with a ghrelin-receptor agonist produces a larger growth hormone pulse than either alone. They say the two receptors act on the pulse through different, complementary steps. That is a mechanism argument repeated widely in clinic and vendor material. It is not evidence that the combination has been tested in people. The separate evidence for each compound is in the CJC-1295 guide and the ipamorelin guide.
The blended vial, and the reconstitution arithmetic
The product most often sold for this pairing is a single vial holding both peptides, rather than two vials drawn separately. Two independent sources describe the same composition: Palmetto Peptides’ guide and Core Peptides’ product listing. Both describe a 10 mg total vial of 5 mg CJC-1295 (no-DAC) and 5 mg ipamorelin, a 1:1 ratio. Palmetto’s dosing tables use 100 mcg of each peptide per administration as their reference dose, the low end of the common protocol above.
Reconstitution volume changes the concentration, not the total content. Palmetto Peptides’ guide lays out several options for a 5 mg/5 mg (10 mg total) vial:
- 1 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5 mg/mL of each peptide.
- 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL of each.
- 3 mL gives about 1.67 mg/mL of each.
Here is one worked example, not a recommendation for any vial. Reconstituting a 10 mg (5 mg/5 mg) vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5 mg (2,500 mcg) of each peptide per mL. The table below gives the syringe units for doses of each peptide from that vial. The arithmetic only holds for that exact vial and dilution; a different vial size or amount of diluent changes every number. Use the dosage calculator for your own vial rather than reusing this example.

What no published trial has tested
Each compound has its own published human trial data, and neither trial used anything like the blend protocol above.
- A randomised trial in healthy adults Teichman 2006 - Teichman SL, Neale A, Lawrence B et al. Prolonged stimulation of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor I secretion by CJC-1295, a long-acting analog of GH-releasing hormone, in healthy adults. J Clin Endocrinol Metab. 2006;91(3):799-805., in the references below tested CJC-1295 with-DAC alone, as single or repeated subcutaneous doses of 30 or 60 mcg/kg. That is a different form, dose unit and schedule than the daily no-DAC blend described here.
- Ipamorelin’s two published human studies gave it alone, by intravenous infusion rather than subcutaneous injection. One was a pharmacokinetic study Gobburu 1999 - Gobburu JV, Agersø H, Jusko WJ et al. Pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling of ipamorelin, a growth hormone releasing peptide, in human volunteers. Pharm Res. 1999;16(9):1412-6., in the references below. The other was a Phase 2 postoperative trial Beck 2014 - Beck DE, Sweeney WB, McCarter MD. Prospective, randomized, controlled, proof-of-concept study of the Ghrelin mimetic ipamorelin for the management of postoperative ileus in bowel resection patients. Int J Colorectal Dis. 2014;29(12):1527-34., in the references below that found no significant benefit over placebo.
Full detail is on their own dosing pages: CJC-1295 dosage and ipamorelin dosage.
No published human study has given CJC-1295 and ipamorelin together, in any dose, route or schedule. The blend protocol above comes entirely from clinic and vendor sources describing current practice, and those sources say so themselves.
Side effects and risks
At the doses each trial tested, on its own, neither published study reported a serious adverse reaction directly attributed to the compound. The CJC-1295 with-DAC trial Teichman 2006 - Teichman SL, Neale A, Lawrence B et al. Prolonged stimulation of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor I secretion by CJC-1295, a long-acting analog of GH-releasing hormone, in healthy adults. J Clin Endocrinol Metab. 2006;91(3):799-805., in the references below reported no serious adverse reactions. The ipamorelin Phase 2 trial Beck 2014 - Beck DE, Sweeney WB, McCarter MD. Prospective, randomized, controlled, proof-of-concept study of the Ghrelin mimetic ipamorelin for the management of postoperative ileus in bowel resection patients. Int J Colorectal Dis. 2014;29(12):1527-34., in the references below reported treatment-emergent adverse events in a majority of both its treatment and placebo groups, without singling out a severe reaction specific to ipamorelin.
None of that is safety data for the blend. Neither compound has long-term human safety data, and no trial has tested them together at the blend’s doses and schedule. That carries risks, including unknown interaction effects, that this page cannot quantify because no source has measured them. A vial bought outside the trial system carries no verified content, purity or actual concentration for either peptide.
Is CJC-1295 and ipamorelin legal?
Neither compound has FDA approval, in any form. Both are sold as research chemicals rather than legally marketed human drugs. Both are named in the current WADA Prohibited List as growth hormone releasing factors and secretagogues, prohibited at all times in sport. Combining them in one vial does not change either compound’s regulatory status: it is still two unapproved substances, not a reviewed product.
Each compound’s own page has the jurisdiction-specific detail: CJC-1295 and ipamorelin. For how US law treats research-use-only peptides generally, see research peptides and the law. For regulatory changes as they happen, see the US peptide regulation tracker.
For where research-labelled peptides are sourced, see this site’s research-access page. It sends readers to a specific research-peptide supplier and discloses that relationship on that page. The vendors I check that sell the blend, with dated prices: where to buy CJC-1295 and ipamorelin.

Common questions
What is the usual CJC-1295 and ipamorelin dosage?
Clinic and vendor dosing guides most often describe 100-300 mcg of each peptide per injection, given together, subcutaneously. The schedule is once daily, five days a week with two days off, for an 8-12 week cycle with a break after. That is common practice, not a dose any trial has tested as a combination.
What comes in a CJC-1295 and ipamorelin blend vial?
The product most often sold is a single vial holding 5 mg of CJC-1295 (no-DAC) and 5 mg of ipamorelin, for 10 mg total. One reconstitution and one injection delivers both peptides in equal amounts. Some sellers also offer separate single vials of each, drawn together by hand.
Why are CJC-1295 and ipamorelin used together?
They act on two different receptors that both end in a growth hormone pulse from the pituitary. CJC-1295 is a GHRH-receptor analogue, and ipamorelin acts on the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). Sources say combining the two produces a larger pulse than either alone. That is a mechanism argument, not a trial finding for this blend.
Has the CJC-1295 and ipamorelin combination been tested in a clinical trial?
No. Each compound has its own published human trial data (see the individual dosing pages), but I could not find a published human trial that gave the two together. Clinic and vendor sources say so themselves: the protocol reflects supervised experience, not a controlled trial.
How do I work out reconstitution and injection volume for the blend?
That depends on your specific vial, its total mg content and how much diluent was added, which this page cannot know. Use the dosage calculator for your own vial; it does the calculation, it does not choose a dose.
What are the side effects of combining CJC-1295 and ipamorelin?
The published trials for each compound separately reported no serious adverse reactions at the doses they tested, in small, short, clinically monitored studies. No published trial has looked at side effects of the two given together at the common blend doses and schedule. The combination has no dedicated human safety data.
Does CJC Ipamorelin affect testosterone?
I found no human study measuring testosterone with the blend or with either peptide alone. The CJC-1295 trials measured growth hormone and IGF-1. In pigs, ipamorelin did not change LH or FSH, the pituitary hormones that drive testosterone production. That is an animal finding, not evidence about people. See the [ipamorelin guide](/compounds/ipamorelin/) for its separate evidence.
How long does it take to see results from CJC-1295 Ipamorelin therapy?
No study has measured results from the blend, so there is no evidence-based timeline. The human data are hormone measurements. Ipamorelin's growth hormone burst peaked about 40 minutes after an intravenous dose. CJC-1295 with DAC, a longer-acting form than the no-DAC peptide in the blend, raised IGF-1 for 9-11 days after one injection. The 8-12 week cycle is common practice, not a trial-tested figure.
Does ipamorelin target belly fat?
I found no human study showing that ipamorelin reduces belly fat or any other fat. In mice, twice-daily ipamorelin increased fat pad weight and, in mice with normal growth hormone, food intake. That is the opposite of the marketing claim, though only an animal finding. A Phase 2 trial of CJC-1295 in people with HIV-associated visceral (abdominal) obesity was terminated in 2006 without posting results.
