TB-500 dosage calculator

Work out TB-500 concentration, draw volume and U-100 syringe units. It starts on a 10 mg vial with 1 mL of water and 2.5 mg - which is 25 units - as an example; change any number.

Your vial

Printed on the vial. There is no standard size - enter what yours says.

This changes how much you draw - never how many doses the vial holds.

100 units per mL. 1 unit = 0.01 mL. This is what almost every insulin syringe sold is, in every barrel size.

Barrel size

Capacity only. A 1 mL U-100 syringe holds 100 units - the scale decides that, not the barrel.

TB-500 dosing

The common TB-500 protocol is 2-2.5 mg, twice weekly during a 4-6 week loading phase, then once weekly (or every two weeks) for maintenance, for 4-6 weeks - common practice, not trial-established. The evidence, side effects and where each figure comes from are on theTB-500 dosage page.

Common questions

What size vials does TB-500 come in?

TB-500 is sold in 5 mg and 10 mg vials - each size listed by at least one vendor or label page I checked (see the vial pages linked below). This calculator starts on the 10 mg vial as an example; enter any size.

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 10 mg TB-500 vial?

There is no single correct amount: water changes how many units a dose is, not how many doses the vial holds. 1 mL makes 10 mg/mL; 2 mL makes 5 mg/mL; 3 mL makes 3.33 mg/mL. With 1 mL, 2.5 mg is 25 units (0.25 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe.

How many units is 2.5 mg of TB-500?

It depends on the vial size and the water added. In a 10 mg vial mixed with 1 mL, 2.5 mg is 25 units (0.25 mL) on a U-100 syringe (100 units = 1 mL).

How many doses are in a TB-500 vial?

A 5 mg vial holds 2 doses of 2.5 mg; A 10 mg vial holds 4 doses of 2.5 mg. Adding more water does not change this.

What is the common TB-500 dose?

The common protocol is 2-2.5 mg, twice weekly during a 4-6 week loading phase, then once weekly (or every two weeks) for maintenance, for 4-6 weeks - common practice described by clinic and vendor dosing guides, not a dose established in trials.

Is TB-500 legal and approved?

US status: Research use only. Not FDA-approved in the US for any indication and sold as a research chemical. Prohibited at all times in sport under WADA 2026 section S2.3, listed as "Thymosin-ß4 and its derivatives e.g. TB-500".
