Paradigm Peptides Review: Is It Legit? Shut Down After Federal Case
Is Paradigm Peptides legit? No. It shut down in 2024, its owner got 70 months in prison for selling unapproved drugs, and its domain no longer sells peptides.
The short version
Paradigm Peptides, the seller behind paradigmpeptides.com, was not a legitimate company and no longer trades. Its owner, Matthew Kawa, pleaded guilty to selling unapproved drugs with intent to defraud and was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison in July 2026. Prosecutors said the business falsely claimed FDA registration, US manufacturing and product testing, and that many of its 'SARMs' were actually testosterone. Two other sites now trade under a Paradigm name. I found nothing tying either to the case.
- Owner Matthew Kawa was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison on 30 July 2026 for selling unapproved drugs.
- Prosecutors say the company lied about FDA registration, US manufacturing and testing; many 'SARMs' were testosterone.
- FDA warned the company in December 2020 over COVID-19 claims for Thymosin Alpha 1.
- paradigmpeptides.com now shows an unrelated placeholder page (checked 3 October 2026).
- paradigm-peptide.com and paradigmpeptidesllc.com use similar names. I found no record linking either to the case.

Below are the official records, checked against my vendor checklist, and what the Paradigm-named sites showed on 3 October 2026.
Paradigm Peptides scorecard

What Paradigm Peptides was
According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana, Matthew J. Kawa, of Grant Park, Illinois, ran Paradigm Peptides from 2019 to 2024. It sold peptides, SARMs (selective androgen receptor modulators) and hCG to more than 54,000 customers in all 50 states and over 80 countries. FDA’s 2020 letter names the company as Paradigm RE LLC.
His sister, Jennifer Stechkober, worked at the packing and shipping site in Michigan City, Indiana. Both pleaded guilty to introducing unapproved new drugs into interstate commerce with intent to defraud and mislead. Kawa also pleaded guilty to illegally importing merchandise.
On 30 July 2026 Kawa was sentenced to 70 months in prison and a $5 million money judgment, and Stechkober to 16 months. Both were ordered to pay $78,317.52 in restitution.
What it claimed, and what prosecutors found
The US Attorney’s Office says the business falsely told customers, on its website and by email, that:
- it was “licensed and registered with the FDA”
- it “manufactured its products at its own laboratories in the United States”
- it “tested its products to ensure the highest quality”
- its products “were safe and of pharmaceutical quality”
According to the same release, Kawa “imported the products from Asia, including China and India, and he did not test the products for quality before selling them to customers.”
Many of its SARMs “were actually testosterone and not the SARM listed on the product’s label.”
CBS News reported that, according to court filings, Kawa admitted forging laboratory certificates to make the products look credible. A certificate posted on a seller’s own site proves little until the lab that issued it confirms it. How to read a peptide COA shows how to check one.
The 2020 FDA warning letter
FDA and the FTC reviewed paradigmpeptides.com in late 2020. FDA’s warning letter of 7 December 2020 to Paradigm RE LLC said the site offered Thymosin Alpha 1 “to mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose, or cure COVID-19”. That made it an unapproved new drug and a misbranded drug. The letter also quotes the site telling readers how far to fill an insulin syringe.
The Justice Department says Kawa kept selling “despite receiving letters in 2020 and 2022 from the FDA”. I confirmed the 2020 letter on fda.gov on 3 October 2026. I could not find the 2022 letter, so that detail rests on the DOJ release.
A search of FDA’s warning-letter index does not return the 2020 letter, although the letter is on fda.gov. So an empty index search proves little on its own.
Has Paradigm Peptides shut down?
Yes. CBS News reports the business was shut down in March 2024, and the Justice Department dates its sales from 2019 to 2024. On 3 October 2026, paradigmpeptides.com showed a template page for a fictional architecture firm, with no products, peptides or company details.
It is the clearest documented closure of a peptide company I found. There is a federal conviction, a prison sentence and a domain that no longer sells anything. I only report a closure when an official record or the company’s own site confirms it.
Other sites using the Paradigm name
Two active sites use a near-identical name. Neither is paradigmpeptides.com.
- paradigm-peptide.com (singular) says on its homepage that it has no affiliation with paradigmpeptides.com or paradigmpeptidesllc.com. Finnrick’s “Paradigm Peptide” page covers this domain: an 85% rating from 18 tests, the latest dated 30 April 2026. Finnrick’s “paradigm-peptides” address redirects to the same page, so a Finnrick rating quoted for “Paradigm” refers to this site.
- paradigmpeptidesllc.com uses the plural name “Paradigm Peptides”, sells peptides, SARMs and nootropics, and says it has operated since 2014.
I found no record tying either site to the Kawa case, and none ruling a link out, so check each site on its own.
How can I tell if a peptide vendor is legit?
I don’t rank vendors or name a “most trusted” one. These checks would have caught the problems in the Paradigm case:
- A certificate the lab confirms. Look up the batch on the testing lab’s own site. A PDF on the seller’s site can be forged, as Paradigm’s were.
- No FDA licensing or approval claims. Research-only peptides are not FDA-approved for human use. Paradigm’s claim to be FDA-licensed was false.
- No dosing or disease claims. Paradigm’s site gave syringe directions and promoted a COVID-19 use.
- A search of FDA records. Search FDA’s warning letters and fda.gov for the seller’s name and domain.
My vendor checklist has all 14 checks, and the vendor list applies them to other sellers. Research peptides and US law explains what a research-only label does and doesn’t mean.
Common questions
Is Paradigm Peptides legit?
No. The company that sold as Paradigm Peptides at paradigmpeptides.com was prosecuted. Its owner, Matthew Kawa, pleaded guilty to introducing unapproved drugs into interstate commerce with intent to defraud. He was sentenced to 70 months in prison on 30 July 2026. The US Attorney's Office says the business falsely told customers it was FDA-licensed, made and tested its products in its own US laboratories, and sold safe, pharmaceutical-grade products. In fact it imported them from China and India without testing. Many of its SARMs were testosterone.
Was Paradigm Peptides a legitimate company?
No. It was a real business: FDA's 2020 warning letter went to Paradigm RE LLC, and prosecutors describe a working packing site in Michigan City, Indiana. But its owner admitted that what it told customers about licensing, manufacturing and testing was false.
What happened to Paradigm Peptides?
The Justice Department says Paradigm Peptides sold peptides, SARMs and hCG from 2019 to 2024. It had more than 54,000 customers in all 50 states and over 80 countries. CBS News reports it was shut down in March 2024. FDA's criminal investigators and the US Postal Inspection Service built the case. Kawa and his sister, Jennifer Stechkober, who worked at the packing site, pleaded guilty on 10 December 2025. In July 2026 Kawa received 70 months plus a $5 million money judgment, and Stechkober 16 months.
Which peptide company has shut down?
Paradigm Peptides is the clearest documented case I found. CBS News reports it was shut down in March 2024, its owner is serving a federal prison sentence, and paradigmpeptides.com no longer sells anything. I only report a closure when an official record or the company's own site confirms it.
Did FDA take action against Paradigm Peptides before the criminal case?
Yes. FDA sent Paradigm RE LLC a warning letter dated 7 December 2020. It said paradigmpeptides.com offered Thymosin Alpha 1 to mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose or cure COVID-19, which made it an unapproved new drug and a misbranded drug. The Justice Department says Kawa received a further FDA letter in 2022 and kept selling. I could not find the 2022 letter on fda.gov as of 3 October 2026.
Is paradigmpeptides.com still run by the same company?
Nothing on it suggests so. On 3 October 2026 paradigmpeptides.com showed a template page for a fictional architecture firm, with no products, no peptides and no company details.
Is paradigm-peptide.com the same as Paradigm Peptides?
It says it is not. paradigm-peptide.com, with a singular 'peptide', states on its homepage that it has no affiliation with paradigmpeptides.com or paradigmpeptidesllc.com. I could not verify who runs it. Finnrick's 'Paradigm Peptide' rating, 85% from 18 tests with the latest dated 30 April 2026, covers paradigm-peptide.com, not the business in the federal case.
Does Peptide Decode sell or recommend Paradigm Peptides?
No. Peptide Decode does not sell peptides. Its research-access pages send readers to a different supplier, Spartan Peptides. The facts about Paradigm Peptides here come from FDA and Department of Justice records and CBS News.
